Welcome to the ESGF Node @ NOAA/ESRL

The NOAA Earth System Research Laboratory (ESRL) mission is to observe, understand and predict the Earth system through research that explores physical, chemical and biological processes. ESRL and its partner organizations bring together technical and scientific expertise to advance NOAA operational services, protect public health and property, and promote better stewardship of the Earth.

This node contains no data.

If you are looking for data, visit the ESGF node at LLNL.

Projects on this node include:

  • High Impact Weather Prediction Project (HIWPP) - atmospheric model intercomparison project to inform development of the next operational weather service model
  • Coupled NEMS - development of a unified modeling system for the National Centers for Environmental Prediction that spans weather, subseasonal, and seasonal scales.
This ESGF node comes bundled with the Earth System CoG Collboration Environment, which can be used to host projects in the Earth Sciences. You should not create a project in order to download data.

CoG projects are connected into networks, contain tools for collaboration, and metadata to describe project organization.
